Dr. Leslie Wagner - Veterinarian

Leslie Wagner

Born and raised in Winona, Minnesota, Dr. Leslie Wagner grew up in the country surrounded by animals, including dogs, cats, horses, birds, pocket pets, fish, and a rabbit. Her lifelong love of animals, along with her interest in medicine and science, inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Wagner earned her degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She then completed a rotating small-animal medicine and surgery internship in Sacramento, California, before returning to the Midwest. She practiced general veterinary medicine in Wausau, Wisconsin, and Rochester, Minnesota, before moving back to Winona in 2024.

Dr. Wagner values the relationships she builds with pets and the people who love them. She especially enjoys serving as an advocate for animals and helping them live their best lives. Her professional interests include soft-tissue surgery, dentistry, geriatric care, and urgent care, and she has a special place in her heart for shelter pets waiting to find their forever homes.

Outside of work, Dr. Wagner stays busy with her husband, their two young children, three cats, two horses, and Gilbert, their recently adopted French Bulldog mix. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading historical fiction and psychological thrillers, and watching scary movies.
